ASSIST supports young people aged 20 and under who have reported domestic abuse within their relationship to the police
Our Advocacy Workers can:
- Support you face to face or by phone, whichever works best
- Talk to you about risk and how you feel about your situation
- Discuss ways to make you feel safer, if this is needed, which can include speaking to school, college etc
- Support with the court process to explain what is happening
- Speak to the court about safety / support measures that might be needed
- Support you at court if you need to give evidence
- If needed, talk to you about healthy relationships, consent and expectations in your relationships
- Our aim is to empower you and make sure that your voice is heard
